Prof. Aaron Raymond See, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT). He is the Director of the Tactile Optimization and User Centric Haptics (TOUCH Lab). He is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field haptics, biomedical engineering, assistive technology, and human-machine interaction, with over eight years of university-level instruction and postgraduate supervision. In addition to his role at NCUT, Prof. See has held visiting professorships through DAAD-funded faculty mobility at HTWG Konstanz in 2023 and a summer program at the Warsaw School of Economics in 2019. He has also trained at the Olin College of Engineering for Student Centered Learning in 2017. He has facilitated numerous international PBL activities from 2017-2023. Furthermore, he has been invited to serve as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker in 29 various conferences across 6 different countries.

Gabriel FACAL is an anthropologist and currently serves as Deputy Director of the Research Institute on Contemporary Southeast Asia (IRASEC, Bangkok). He is also an Associate Researcher at the Southeast Asia Centre (CASE, Paris). His research examines the emergence and development of agroecology in insular Southeast Asia, drawing on case studies in Indonesia as well as comparative work conducted in collaboration with research teams based in several countries across the region, including Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

He is currently co-developing a research consortium on agroecological transitions under the initiative Cross-Sectoral Approach to Research on Sustainable Development in Southeast Asia (CROSSDEV-SEA). These activities align with two major research programmes for which he serves as co–Principal Investigator: the French National Research Agency (ANR) project AltLife-SSEA (“Alternative Life Projects in Rural South and Southeast Asia: Reflecting on Post-Development through a Study of Diverse Emplaced Collectives”) and the CNRS International Research Network (IRN) programme RUPTuRS (“Rethinking Urban Planning and Transitions in a Context of Resource Scarcity: Indo-Pacific Cities within Planetary Boundaries”).

Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos, the President of Pangasinan Polytechnic College,  is also a Professor of History and the former Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Baguio (2012-2021), where (as Chancellor) he left a distinctive legacy by positioning UP Baguio as the leading higher education institution in the field of indigenous studies in the Philippines and Asia.  Dr. Rovillos is a distinguished scholar of a wide range of disciplinal and interdisciplinary fields, such as:  Cordillera History, Ethno-history of the Tinguians/Itnegs (Abra), Indigenous Peoples Studies and Social Development Studies.  He has published in several refereed national and international journals and books. He is also a passionate advocate for sustainable development, cultural preservation, and the advancement of higher education in the Philippines and beyond.  He has received several awards for his dedication, leadership, and scholarly contributions that have shaped the academic landscape.
